US Patent No. 10,233,411 B2 (Paulus Antonius Augustinus Hoefte, Jean-Luc Philippe Bettiol, Wesley Yvonne Pieter Boers, Emilie Hourcade, Peter Vancampenhout, Olga Lahuerta Salas, Suxuan Gong, Gang Wu, Xu Li, Beijing, Hilal Sahin Topkara); Procter & Gamble has patented a direct-foam cleaning product that becomes foam when dispensed from a spray dispenser. The composition is comprised of a surfactant system that has a branched alkyl or branched alkyl ether sulfate anionic surfactant; and a co-surfactant selected from the group consisting of amphoteric surfactants, zwitterionic surfactants and mixtures thereof; and a grease cleaning glycol ether solvent selected from the group consisting of glycol ethers of Formula R1O(R2O)nR3; and glycol ethers of Formula II: R4O(R5O)mR6; and mixtures thereof: wherein R1 is a linear or branched C4, C5 or C6 alkyl or a substituted unsubstituted phenyl, R2 is ethyl or isopropyl, R3 is hydrogen or methyl and n is 1, 2 or 3, R4 is n-propyl or isopropyl, R5 is isopropyl, R6 is hydrogen or methyl and m=1, 2 or 3, and wherein said surfactant system and said glycol ether solvent are present in said composition in a weight ratio from about 5:1 to about 1:1.
Additionally, P&G has recently been awarded US Patent No 10,266,796 B2 (Philip Frank Souter, Alan Thomas Brooker, Colin Ure, Craig Adam Wilkinson, Lindsay Suzanne Bewick and Kelly Ann Millward) covering a low-pH automatic dishwashing detergent. It contains a low temperature tolerant amylase and a lime soap dispersing agent. The composition has a pH as measured in 1% weight aqueous solution at 25°C of from about 5 to about 6.5. The amylase has 100% identity to SEQ ID NO:4 and further comprises substitutions at positions 9, 118, 149, 182, 186, 195, 202, 257, 295, 299, 320, 323, 339, 345, 458 and the deletions of D183 and G184. The lime soap dispersing agent comprises an alkyl ethoxysulfate surfactant and an alkoxylated polyalkyleneime. The composition is builder free, wherein the amylase demonstrates at least two times the relative activity of a second amylase which has 100% identity to SEQ ID NO:3. Further, the lime soap dispersing agent has a lime scale dispersing power of no more than eight.
