SOUTH KOREA: Azelis has announced that SammiChem, a part of the Azelis group, has established a new partnership with BASF in South Korea. This deal builds on an already strong collaboration between the Azelis group and BASF.
BASF says it has found a strong partner in SammiChem thanks to its financial stability and logistical and technical expertise. With this accord, SammiChem will distribute BASF’s aroma ingredients for the flavors and fragrances specialty market, which will be used to formulate products such as diffusers and scented candles. The deal significantly expands SammiChem’s position in South Korea, giving the company access to the fragrance market there and supports Azelis’ strategy of creating organic growth by expanding existing partnerships into new global regions.
“The addition of BASF aroma ingredients to our portfolio creates new possibilities for Azelis to cover the ever-growing demand on the market and to enter new industries, such as the fragrance market,” said Mann Sup Ryoo, CEO of SammiChem. “Working with Azelis, customers will benefit as they will be able to buy smaller quantities, reduce their stock and ultimately their cost. In other words, we can offer a full package service, combining this range with our already extensive product portfolio.”
