• Clorox Company, Oakland, CA, received two patents related to low-VOC cleaning. One is US 10,358,623 B1 (Diana Mitchell, Sarah Coulter, Ashish Jha, William Ouellette, Gregory van Buskirk), which covers a cleaning composition that consists of one or more quaternary ammonium compounds; at least one nonionic surfactant which includes at least one mixed ethylene oxide/propylene oxide adducts of long chain alcohols or fatty acids; a glycol ether solvent selected from the group consisting of: C1-10 alkyl ethers of alkylene glycols, C3-24 alkylene glycol ethers, and any mixtures or combinations thereof; water; and optionally, one or more adjuncts selected from the group consisting of buffers, fragrances, perfumes, defoamers, hydrotropes, biocide release agents, enzymes, bleaching agents, dyes, colorants, additional solvents and preservatives.
