Target has rolled out its Target Clean icon, which lets consumers know that the product is formulated without a group of so-called “commonly unwanted” chemicals. Target says it has nearly 4,000 products that qualify for Target Clean in the beauty and personal care aisles, including Harry’s, Pacifica, Red Earth, S.W. Basics, Smartly, Up & Up, Versed, Yuni and more.
The retailer say this move is its latest step forward in achieving its chemical goals, one of which is to improve its beauty, baby care, personal care and household cleaning categories by formulating products without phthalates, propylparaben, butylparaben, formaldehyde, formaldehyde-donors or non phenoxyethanol by 2020.
