Procedure | |
Charge water into the main vessel. Add glycerin with mixing. With high shear, slowly sprinkle in Carbopol ETD 2020. Mix until fully dispersed and no clumps are present. Begin heating batch to 65-70˚C. Add Pureact TR-L90 and mix until all flakes are dissolved and batch is uniform. Add Phase D sequentially. While batch is still hot, add triple pressed stearic acid and mix until all flakes are melted. Cut the heat off. In a side vessel, pre-mix phase F. Once pre-mix is uniform, slowly add to the batch with mixing. At 40-45˚C, add desired to preservative. Adjust pH to 5.0-5.9 using citric acid solution (50%). | |
