Acme-Hardesty Partners with Cosun

Acme-Hardesty (stand D55), a division of Jacob Stern and Sons, Inc. and a leader in sustainable specialty ingredients, has signed a letter of intent to enter into a distribution agreement with Cosun Biobased Products, a manufacturer of renewable, vegetable-based ingredients in the personal care industry. Acme-Hardesty will be Cosun’s channel partner for the personal care market across the United States.

 
“Cosun offers a variety of bio-based rheology modifiers that will be a unique and exciting addition to our personal care portfolio,” said Caren Dres-Hajeski, business unit director for Acme-Hardesty’s Personal Care Division. “Cosun is a great fit for Acme-Hardesty because they have built their business on sustainability and bio-based ingredients. These products will be a significant focus for our personal care team in the coming months.” 


Cosun Biobased Products is part of Royal Cosun with headquarters in The Netherlands. Cosun has a history and broad experience with large scale processing of agricultural feedstocks into various ingredients for multiple markets. Optimization, development and the introduction of new and innovative processes is one of Cosun’s core endeavors within their manufacturing plants, which are supported by technological specialists from the Cosun Innovation Centre.
