Bluestar Silicones' Mirasil range of products are widely used in hair care, skin care and color cosmetics formulations. Faced with fast increasing demand for standard products, Bluestar Silicones will now start to promote Mirasil silicone grades produced in the newly commissioned capacities of Bluestar Xinghuo Chinese plant, customers from all zones will thus progressively benefit by greater availability and supply chain flexibility.


In Europe, Bluestar Silicones (stand AA30) is also engaged in a two-steps debottlenecking project of its cyclopentasiloxane capacities in its Saint-Fons plant which will also result in extra availability already from Q1 2018 and more to follow. At In-Cosmetics London, Bluestar is launching Mirasil® C-DMX 12, a silicone gel emollient that enhances light and nourishing skin feel to anti- aging, moisturizers and color cosmetics, and Mirasil Stearyl DM, a silicone wax which melts in contact with skin providing dryness protection as well as a non-tacky and smooth feel. The introduction follows the launch in 2016 of four high performance ingredients, Mirasil Caprylyl TSO, Mirasil Balance, Mirasil Cetyl DM and Mirasil PEG 12 DM).
