Sustainable Hydroxysultaine from Hemp Seed Oil

Visit stand 819 to learn more about ColaTeric HBS.

Colonial Chemical is launching ColaTeric HBS (proposed INCI: Hempseedamidopropyl hydroxysultaine) to its growing offering of hydroxysultaine products. ColaTeric HBS is amild surfactant from hemp seed oil, harvested sustainably and grown in soils which are challenging for traditional seed crops. ColaTeric HBS provides superior skin feel and can replace traditional alkanolamides or PEG-based thickeners in cleansing applications, especially sulfate-free systems.

“Trending raw ingredients, like hemp seed oil, are increasingly driving consumers’ purchasing decisions. Fortunately, ColaTeric HBS goes the distance in satisfying our customers’ requests in this regard, enabling them to formulate luxurious products that meet demanding regulatory and performance requirements in formulations,” says Dennis Abbeduto, business manager for personal care products, Colonial Chemical.

Colonial Chemical is introducing the latest addition to the ColaTeric product family at the NYSCC Suppliers' Day. Colonial will also provide visitors with information about other products in the ColaTeric family, which all combine the distinct advantages ofhydroxysultaine chemistry as a low-residual alternative to betaines, with no California Proposition 65 concerns.
