ISP Appoints VP Global New Product Development

In his new role, Dr. Dal Farra will head a global product development team that will work closely with ISP’s global sales, marketing and technical services teams to accelerate the development of new products and technologies across ISP’s personal care portfolio. He will be based at the company’s global headquarters in Wayne, NJ and report directly to Steve Olsen, senior vice president, emerging markets, R&D and global marketing.
Previously, Dr. Dal Farra performed the dual role of technical director and director of research in new molecules at Vincience in Sophia Antipolis, France. ISP acquired Vincience in December 2006.

Fashion Fair Cosmetics:
Anne Sempowski Ward, former assistant vice president of African-American marketing for the Coca-Cola Company, has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Fashion Fair Cosmetics.Additionally, senior vice-president J. Lance Clarke has been named senior vice president and director of global sales and will oversee the national and international sales for the cosmetics.
In Ms. Ward’s newly created role she will lead all aspects of sales, product development, supply chain and marketing. She will also create and oversee all business development strategies and implement diversified initiatives to strengthen brand equity.

Surefil:
Surefil LLC welcomed Marique Ryzebol to the company as its account manager. Prior to joining Surefil, Ms. Ryzebol worked in trade partner support for Whirlpool Corporation. She is a graduate of Calvin College, where she earned a Bachelor of Business.
Reed Exhibitions:
Has appointed Lucy Gillam as the new exhibition manager for In-Cosmetics. Ms. Gillam joined the In-Cosmetics group as head of global sales in October 2006, where her first project was the launch of In-Cosmetics Amsterdam. Marx of Zschimmer & Schwarz![]() |
She succeeds Dr. Volker Martin, who has recently retired following a long and successful career at Zschimmer & Schwarz. Mrs. Marx was previously team leader of the cosmetics application laboratories/surfactants division at Zschimmer & Schwarz.

Markus Schiek, marketing director, International Drom Fragrances, has been given commercial power-of-attorney with broad decision-making authority.Pureolgy:
Steven Henley has been promoted to director of education, PureOlogy, and will be responsible for the direction of all education activities. He will continue to drive the education message of PureOlogy through the artist network, shows, product development and promotion working with marketing and sales.A new addition to the team is Sean Harrington, director of U.S. marketing, PureOlogy. Prior to joining L’Oréal USA, Mr. Harrington worked on the global marketing team at Unilever where he was primarily responsible for brand equity protection and development in the U.S. and Canada. He has more than seven years of professional salon industry experience.
International Flavors & Fragrances Inc.: (IFF) promoted three senior managers in the areas of fine fragrance and beauty care.
Chris Palmer has been promoted to the newly created role of global creative & applications director, fragrances, and will now be responsible for IFF’s global creative centers, including all resources and staff.
Prior to his promotion, Mr. Palmer served as global creative director for fine fragrances and beauty care.
Veronique Ferval was promoted to New York creative center manager, and will report to Mr. Palmer. She served as director of fragrance development in New York for the past four years.
Helen Murphy is the new director of fragrance development, reporting to Ms. Ferval, while also temporarily continuing her duties as senior fragrance development manager.
Ms. Murphy has been fragrance development manager for the past nine years.
Loc Dong has been promoted to senior perfumer. Mr. Dong has been with IFF since 2002. He brings 10 years of experience in the field, having trained with and worked for Haarmann & Reimer and Creations Aromatiques.
Pascal Gaurin has been promoted to senior perfumer. Mr. Gaurin joined IFF Hong Kong in 1995 as perfumer trainee and transferred to the U.S. in 1997.
Laurent Le Guernec has been promoted to senior perfumer. Mr. Le Guernec has been with IFF since February 2002, in the New York creative center as a perfumer, concentrating on fine fragrances.

DKSH North America has appointed Anthony Ansaldi as director, personal care industry-Americas. Mr. Ansaldi has been in the industry over 30 years, most recently having been vice president sales and marketing at Presperse Inc. During his career he has held various positions in sales, marketing and R&D. In addition to his industry experience Mr. Ansaldi is currently the 2007 Chair for the NYSCC.Redken:
Lauren Consiglio has been promoted to director of U.S. marketing, styling, men’s and chain accounts. Prior to this appointment she was Redken For Men’s senior manager.Patricia Engle has been promoted to director of U.S. marketing, hair care. Most recently she was the senior manager U.S. marketing, haircare.
Roberta Capozzoli has been prompted to director of finance. Previously, she was a finance explorer for the L’Oréal Explorer Program where she worked on various brands and departments.
Kirsten Marsh has been promoted to assistant vice president, U.S. marketing for hair color and texture. Ms. Marsh had been director, U.S. marketing, hair color and texture.

Most recently, Mr. Brands was managing director of the dispensing systems division of Rexam and, previously, chief executive officer of Airspray, the dispensing firm that was acquired by Rexam in May 2006.
The first recipient was Hartmut Rauscher in April 2006, who has been with the company for more than 20 years. He has been chief financial officer since 2005.
