O/W Emulsion and Process Patented by Kao Corp.

U.S. Patent No. 7,511,002 B2; Kao Corporation, Tokyo, Japan, has patented a process for producing an oil-in-water emulsion.

The process has the following steps: mixing a polymer compound that has, in a side chain, a group represented by the formula -(OX)n-E2-R, wherein X represents a C1 to C6 linear or branched divalent saturated hydrocarbon group, n is a number of 5 to 300, Xs whose number is n may be the same as or different from one another, E2 represents an ether linkage (—O—) or an ester linkage (—OCO— or —COO—), and R represents a C4 to C30 linear or branched hydrocarbon group which may be substituted with a hydroxy group;a water-soluble polyol; a nonionic surfactant; a hydrophobic compound and water; then diluting the resulting mixture with water, so that the average emulsion particle diameter of the emulsion in the oil-in-water emulsion is 0.1 to 2 μm.

Low Residue Cleaning Solution

U.S. Patent No. 7,511,006 B2;
The Clorox Company has patented a cleaning composition that is comprised of, by weight, 0.1-5.0% of a C8 to C10 alkylpolyglucoside wherein the alkyl group is substantially C8 alkyl, substantially C10 alkyl, or a mixture of substantially C8 and C10 alkyl; 0.5-5.0% of a C2 to C4 alcohol or combination of C2 to C4 alcohols; 0.05-2.0% of glycerol; and optionally dyes, builders, fatty acids, fragrances, colorants, anti-foaming agent, water-soluble organic acid and preservatives.

Fragrance Release System Patented by Henkel

U.S. Patent No. 7,528,102 B2; A fragrance release system has been patented by Henkel KGaA, Düsseldorf, Germany. The system is comprised of a substantially rotationally symmetric container having a chamber that accommodates a multitude of particles for deodorizing or fragrancing an open or closed space. The particles are comprised of a carrier material and at least one fragrance. The container has a plurality of orifices through which emission of the fragrances is possible.

Laundry Treatment Composition Patented by Unilever

U.S. Patent No. 7,528,101 B2; Conopco, Inc., Englewood Cliffs, NJ, has patented laundry treatment compositions.According to the patent literature, it entails a water-soluble or dispersible, non-hydrolyzable polysaccharide (NHP) having at least one first polymeric textile benefit species bonded by a hydrolytically stable bond and a second textile benefit species which is not covalently bonded thereto. The second textile benefit species is a second polymeric textile softening species (SPSS). The SPSS is a silicone having a dynamic viscosity of >2,500 mPa·s.

Red Hair Coloring Composition Patented by Zotos

U.S. Patent No. 7,527,653 B2; Zotos International, Darien, CT, has patented a composition for coloring keratinaceous fibers with a vivid red color. The composition is comprised of a combination of 2,4,5,6-tetraaminopyrimidine sulfate and 2,6-bis(2-hydroxyethylamino)toluene with both dyes having a total combined concentration ranging from 1.10-5% by weight based upon the weight of the entire composition.

Aqueous Hair Coloring

U.S. Patent No. 7,524,336 B2; KPSS-KAO Professional Salon Services GmbH, Darmstadt, Germany, has patented an aqueous composition for coloring keratin fibers. It is comprised of at least one hair dye; and at least one color effect pigment consisting of synthetic fluorphologopite coated with metal oxide or oxides, having a volume particle size distribution from 1-750 μm at a concentration of 0.01 to 10% by weight, calculated to the total composition.

P&G Patents Fabric Care Composition

U.S. Patent No. 7,528,099 B2; Procter & Gamble has patented a fabric care composition. It entails an article of manufacture comprised of a container with two compartments. The first compartment holds a fabric care composition with a fabric care benefit agent and perfume microcapsules. The second compartment has a second fabric care composition.
