Kao Patents Novel Hair Dye Method

US Patent No. 8,821,591 B2; Kao Corp., Tokyo, has patented  hair dying or bleaching method that uses an applicator. It is comprised of: composition A, which is comprised an alkali agent; composition B, which is comprised of an oxidizing agent; and composition C, which is comprised of a powdery oxidation assistant; and a hair cosmetic applicator.

The applicator has a container in which a cosmetic material is produced by mixing three compositions. The tool also has application part by which the hair cosmetic material is applied to a hair; and an extension part having a liquid-leading passage that connects the container part to the application part. The application part also has a discharge port and a comb. The comb includes a plurality of teeth that are disposed substantially annularly so as to surround the discharge port.

The method entails mixing the compositions A, B and C in the container part to produce the hair cosmetic material, supplying the hair cosmetic material to the application part through the liquid-leading passage in the extension part to the applicator part and applying the hair cosmetic material supplied to the application part to hair.
