Following the results of Tuesday’s US Presidential Election, The Personal Care Products Council congratulated President-elect Donald Trump, Vice President-elect JD Vance and federal and state legislators across the country.

In a statement, PCPC President and CEO Tom Myers said, “With new leadership in the White House and Congress, it is important for PCPC to ensure these officials understand the critical role the cosmetics and personal care products industry plays in the U.S. economy, job creation and innovation.”

Among PCPC’s priorities are the continued implementation of “MoCRA” (the new federal regulatory framework for cosmetics), the movement of international goods, the reduction of trade barriers, and the use of responsible and safe business practices.

“PCPC is committed to working with the incoming administration while continuing to advocate for policies that strengthen the economy, enhance product safety and promote sustainability,” said Myers. “We believe that strong public-private partnerships are essential for achieving these important priorities and meeting the evolving needs of consumers.”
