The American Cleaning Institute, (ACI) the trade association for the cleaning product supply chain, has appointed Dan Selechnik as director, environmental health and safety, and Zersha Munir as director, issue communications.

Dan Selechnik

In his role, Selechnik will manage projects addressing chemistries used in the cleaning product supply chain and will work with ACI members to oversee and design scientific studies. Previously, he served as director of regulatory science at the Fragrance Creators Association.

“Dan’s regulatory and scientific background will be instrumental in contributing to our science-based policy initiatives showcasing the environmental safety of cleaning products,” said Dr. James Kim, ACI senior vice president of science & regulatory affairs. “We are eager to work with Dan on the most pressing issues facing industry and are pleased to have him join the team.”

Zersha Munir

As director of isuue communications, Munir will assist in developing and further building ACI’s messaging platforms that help communicate the growth and innovation of the US cleaning products industry. She will also work closely with ACI’s government affairs team, helping to communicate the association’s legislative and regulatory priorities.

Prior to joining ACI, Munir was senior manager of communications and outreach at Brown University.

“Zersha’s in-depth communications experience will be an invaluable asset to our efforts to highlight ACI and the industry’s key priorities with the media and policymakers,” said Brian Sansoni, senior vice president of communications, outreach and membership.
