Philips rolls out new toothbrush for kids 4 and up.

Philips Sonicare is rolling out new Sonicare for Kids, a rechargeable power toothbrush for kids ages 4-plus. With concerns that their child will not brush thoroughly enough, 72% of parents say that they still supervise this task. When the child brushes solo, only one in three parents say that they are very satisfied with the results. To address these challenges, Philips Sonicare For Kids is equipped with kid-friendly features to encourage the development of healthy oral care habits and to deliver outstanding results – even when the child is brushing on his own. Philips Sonicare For Kids delivers more than 500 brush strokes per second, removing up to 75% more plaque than a manual brush in hard to reach places, according to Philips. The device also has numerous kid-friendly features, including stickers that kids can use to personalize the brush, a timer that gradually increases to two minutes to train kids to brush for the dentist-recommended time, and a “KidPacer” that provides fun sounds to encourage the child to brush their entire mouth, including upper, lower, front and back teeth. To promote the launch, Philips is running the #PowerToKids Contest on Instagram where Parents can share moments of their children taking on new power in their daily routines using the hashtag #PowerToKids for the chance to win a new Philips Sonicare For Kids. The contest runs through April 11. Philips Sonicare For Kids is available at Amazon, Target, Walmart, Meijer, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walgreen's and other retailers, for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
