IFF will build a new scent creative center in Mumbai, India.

The site, strategically located in the city’s Powai neighborhood, is expected to be fully operational by the first half of 2026.

With India’s fragrance market projected to maintain steady growth, the new creative center will strengthen IFF’s ability to win with customers by delivering leading fragrance innovation.

“The Mumbai Creative Center exemplifies IFF’s commitment to innovation and excellence in one of the world’s most dynamic markets,” said Ana Paula Teles de Mendonça, president of IFF Scent. “By expanding our footprint in India, we are not only bringing IFF’s world-class fragrance capabilities closer to local consumers — we are also accelerating our ability to co-create superior solutions, serve our customers with greater agility, while also empowering the exceptional talent that drives our creativity and leadership.”

The new site places IFF at the forefront of India’s dynamic market landscape. This expansion more than doubles the company’s local footprint to 3,650 square meters, creating proximity to customers and accelerating speed-to-market. The technology-enabled facility will house more than 100 employees and feature advanced labs, category-spanning evaluation booths and a state-of-the-art sensory evaluation space. These capabilities will allow IFF to co-create winning fragrance solutions with customers locally, blending global expertise with deep consumer insight to deliver superior experiences. Beyond innovation, the site will be crafted to inspire, offering unique spaces that foster creativity and provide an environment of “comfort and excellence,” officials said.
