TRI-K Industries, Inc., USA, a Galaxy Surfactants Group Company, India, has acquired Surfactants International, Inc. and its division of Surety Laboratories from Actives International. A purchase price was not disclosed. Founded in 1977, Surfactants International provides ingredients of personal care, household and specialty industrial products, specifically surfactants, polymers and preservatives. This acquisition strengthens Galaxy’s presence in the US with surfactants and preservatives, provides an expanded product portfolio and allows us to deliver superior service to our customers in the personal care and household industries. With the acquisition of the business of Surfactants International, Inc. (SI) and its division of Surety Laboratories, TRI-K will be creating a new business division called Performance Products Division (PPD), which will offer the Galaxy product lines as well as SI's surfactants, blends, preservatives and biocides to its customers by the PPD team of sales & supply chain at TRI-K.
