Chemsil Silicones Inc. introduced a “new and improved” cationic emulsion for hair care applications, according to the company. Emulsil CC-44 (INCI: Amodimethicone (and) cetrimonium chloride (and) trideceth-12) is a highly engineered emulsion of amodimethicone. In keeping with the latest regulatory directives, Emulsil CC-44 utilizes a preservative system that does not release formaldehyde and is paraben free.

According to Chemsil, with an average particle size that is 15% smaller than competitive products, Emusil CC-44 improves deposition of the active ingredients across the entire hair shaft resulting in improved conditioning, frizz control, softness, wet and dry comb.
