Oscar de la Renta is launching a bridal fragrance, Something Blue, in April. The signature note is Stephanotis, often called “bridal veil” because of its traditional use in wedding bouquets. The fragrance opens with a burst of mandarin and linden blossom followed by a heart of stephanotis, lily of the valley and lychee. The drydown includes bourbon vanilla and white musk.

The scent was developed in a partnership with Ann Gottlieb and perfumers Ilias Ermenidis and Frank Völkl of Firmenich, who created proprietary technology to extract the essence of the Stephanotis in its natural form straight from de la Renta’s garden.

The package was designed by Oscar de la Renta in partnership with product design firm, Aruliden and manufactured by Bormioli. The Larimar cap was manufactured by Fiampack, and the box was produced by Arkay.

The scent will be available at Saks Fifth Avenue, saksfifthavenue.com, Oscar de la Renta boutiques,www.oscardelarenta.com, Bloomingdales & Bloomingdales.com. EDP sprays will retail for $85 (50ml) and $115 (100ml). A 198g scented candle is $65.
