EMD Chemicals Performance Materials division today recently launched RonaFlair Boroneige Functional Fillers for cosmetic applications in the US. All inquiries should be directed to EMD Chemicals.
RonaFlair Boroneige functional fillers consist exclusively of boron nitride, a powder substrate with a pure-white color and heavy metal values that are far below the statutory limit values, said the company. Boron nitride is a commonly used functional filler that EMD Chemicals previously did not have in its range. The products combine three properties that cosmetic manufacturers often desire in functional fillers: they have a mattifying effect, give cosmetic formulations a smooth texture, and provide for a soft-focus effect, which renders wrinkles and skin imperfections virtually invisible.
RonaFlair Boroneige functional fillers are offered in different particle sizes and can be used in a wide variety of cosmetic applications.
On April 16, 2012, Merck KGaA (Darmstadt, Germany) signed a cooperation
agreement with ESK Ceramics GmbH & Co. KG (Kempten, Germany) to market ESK’s Boroneige functional fillers, co-branded with Merck KGaA’s RonaFlair Functional Filler brand name.
