Wacker is showcasing its new and novel silicone products for the personal care and cosmetic industry at booth no. 445. The company says its new Belsil ADM 6300 E and Belsil ADM 8301 E are a next generation of amino-functional, film-forming silicone emulsions that deliver multiple benefits to hair such as softness and sleekness and protection against moisture loss and color fading. Wacker will also be introducing three new personal care products: Belsil P 1101, a novel silicone hybrid polymer, Belsil OW 1500, a new silicone emulsifier and a new silicone gum blend, Belsil GB 1020. According to Wacker, Belsil ADM 8301 E and Belsil ADM 6300 E represent a next generation of film-forming amino-functional silicone emulsions. Laboratory tests prove these novel silicone emulsions are excellent hair conditioning agents that strongly reduce dry and wet combing forces. Belsil ADM 8301 E is formulated as a translucent micro emulsion with a particle size smaller than 50nm. In contrast, the milky white macro emulsion Belsil ADM 6300 E has a particle size of less than 250nm. When added to a formulation, Belsil ADM 8301 E and Belsil ADM 6300 E spread along the hair fiber and upon drying form a protective film layer. This film gives hair a soft, silky touch and strongly reduces dry and wet combing forces. The silicone also helps to reduce color fade and to provide excellent protection during heat treatments such as blow-drying. Belsil ADM 8301 E and Belsil ADM 6300 E are especially suited for rinse-off conditioners, hair treatments, masks, pump sprays, conditioning shampoos and styling applications like mousses. The colorless Belsil ADM 8301 E also allows the formulation of transparent shampoos. More info: Wacker, www.wacker.com
