VO5 began as a conditioning hairdressing created by a chemist and a hairdresser Alberto in Culver City, CA. The ‘VO5’ stands for five vitamin oils. It was purchased by Leonard Lavin in 1955 and expanded into a full line of hair care. Today, the company (owned by Stamford, CT-based High Ridge Brands) is now set for a global relaunch.
