One of the most common skin disorders in the US, acne affects 40 to 50 million Americans each year. A condition often associated with puberty and the awkward teenage years, adult acne can strike in one’s 20s, 30s and even later, proving equally distressing.

Targeting troubled skin for all ages, Origins introduces two new products that possess advanced pimple-fighting powers, according to the company. Its new Super Spot Remover Acne treatment gel ($13.50) and new Spot Remover Acne treatment pads ($26.50) are formulated with powerful naturally-derived ingredients that help resolve acne while encouraging existing scarring to visibly fade and staving off future breakouts.

The gel contains 1.5% salicylic acid, as well as cucumber and apple extracts to fade scars and hyperpigmentation. Anti-irritants such as caffeine and red algae help calm skin, while oregano and clove essential oils leave a rejuvenating scent.

Formulated for twice daily use, the pads exfoliate skin to help dislodge debris and excavate pores. Also featuring 1.5% salicylic acid, the product utilizes saw palmetto to inhibit excess oil production.

Super Spot Remover Acne treatment gel and Spot Remover Acne treatment pads will be available July 2011 at Origins retail stores, select department stores and online at www.origins.com.
