Xlear Expands Spry Dental Defense Line

Xlear, Inc., an Orem, UT-based manufacturer of xylitol products, has expanded its Spry Dental Defense line of oral care products with a new strawberry-banana flavored kid’s Spry Tooth Gel, which is sweetened with 100% xylitol.

The gel was developed for children ages three months and up and can be applied their teeth and gums to help promote good oral care at an early age, the company said.

Xlear has also partnered with Live-Right, the maker of the Baby Banana Brush, to offer a combo kit that includes the Baby Banana Brush and strawberry-banana flavored Spry Tooth Gel.

“We introduced our original Spry Tooth Gel in 2004, and it has quickly become one of our most popular items; particular among parents and dental professionals,” said Blaine Yates, president of Xlear, Inc. “Spry Tooth Gel is ideal for children that are either too young to brush or struggle to brush regularly. The sooner that we can get children to start using xylitol as part of their daily oral care, the better off they will be in the long run.

According to Xlear, clinical studies have proven that consistent use of product sweetened with 100% xylitol can help promote good oral care and reduce the risk of tooth decay.Xylitol-rich products create a healthier oral environment and help to increase mineral absorption back into the enamel of the teeth.

The Spry line of oral care products includes gum, mints, oral rinse, toothpastes and oral mist spray.
