Shiseido Promotes in HR

The Shiseido Americas Corporation appointed Elena Stella-
McElrath to vice president, human resources effective immediately.

“During Elena’s time with the company she has led many initiatives to streamline efficiencies among the company’s divisions as well as create consistency in human resource policy and procedures. This promotion reflects the many contributions made by Elena over the past three years during a period of organizational change,” stated Shoji Takahashi, chairman and chief executive officer of the company.

In her role, Ms. Stella-McElrath will be responsible for formulation, coordination and execution of the company’s human resources objectives, policies and procedures including employee and benefits relations, compensation management, performance management and recruitment. She joined Shiseido in 2006 as executive director of human resources. Prior to joining Shiseido, Ms. Stella-McElrath had been the human resources director at Clarins USA Inc.
