Amcol International Corp. acquired the Polytrap business and Lafayette, LA manufacturing facility of Cardinal Health, formerly known as Enhanced Derm Technologies. Executives said the acquisition provides Amcol Health & Beauty Solutions with manufacturing capacity for a wide array of products for the personal care and cosmetic industries. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “Our emphasis on innovation and quality serves as a cornerstone to building customer relationships,” said Kevin Cureton, managing director, Amcol Health & Beauty Solutions. “This acquisition further demonstrates our commitment to being the leading supplier of polymeric delivery systems to the personal care industry.”
