Avon Products Inc., the world’s largest direct seller of cosmetics based in New York, raised its full-year profit outlook, citing the weak dollar. The New York company said it expects 2003 earnings per share could exceed its previous estimates of $2.55.

For the current quarter, Avon said it expects earnings to rise in the mid-single-digit percentage range compared with the prior-year period. In the second quarter of 2002, the company earned $.64 a share.
