Acuity Brands Elects Goldman VP and Associate Counsel

Acuity Brands, Inc., Atlanta, GA, elected of Barry R. Goldman as vice president and associate counsel. He will continue his responsibilities in transactional and other legal matters in support of operations at Acuity Lighting Group and Acuity Specialty Products Group. Mr. Goldman had served as associate counsel of Acuity Brands since the company’s spin-off from National Service Industries, Inc. (NSI) on Nov. 30, 2001.

From 1997 until 2001, Mr. Goldman was assistant counsel in the legal department at NSI. Before joining NSI, he spent three years with Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan and one year as a law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. He completed his JD and MBA at the University of Georgia and his BA at the University of Texas at Austin.
