The Alberto-Culver Company today announced that its beauty systems group, an operating unit of its Sally Beauty Company subsidiary, purchased the assets of B&H Supply Company, Inc., a North Carolina-based full service distributor of professional beauty supplies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.B&H Supply Company adds eight stores and approximately 30 professional distributor sales consultants to the beauty systems group. The 52-year old company is a distributor for Paul Mitchell, Wella, Rusk and other professional salon lines in North and South Carolina and southern Virginia. Annual sales are approximately $15 million.“Most previous acquisitions for our beauty systems group have extended our geographical reach,” commented Michael Renzulli, president of Sally Beauty.“This is an example of our building strength in an existing territory through the addition of excellent professional lines and a strong selling organization dedicated to those lines.”
