Allou Has a Big First Quarter

Allou Health & Beauty Care, Inc. today announced that the first three months of fiscal year 2001, ended June 30, were the strongest in the company’s history. Revenues increased 72% to $134.7 million and net income rose 56% to $2.08 million.

David Shamilzadeh, president and chief financial officer of Allou, stated, “We are pleased to report that fiscal year 2001 is off to the strongest start in the company’s 38 year history and allows management to state with confidence that the current fiscal year will produce record results. It is particularly gratifying that all segments of Allou’s businesses contributed to the outstanding performance, with pharmaceuticals leading the way.”
