Hand-y Device on Indiegogo Treats Aging Skin

Wellness device uses red light technology and skin care lotion to benefit skin.

The skin on the hand can reveal one’s true age. In fact, a study in the medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports that hands are the most accurate reflection of a person's age. But there’s a new device on Indiegogo called Hands On that aims to treat hands with the use red light technology, air movement and a lotion that is massaged into the skin.

The inventor is Tobias Hämmerli, who said he created the device as a labor of love for his aunt who was lamenting the wrinkles and dryness of her hands.

According to the Basel-based EMBS Holding AG, with Hands On:
• Skin is rejuvenated from the inside out for improved appearance
• Redness, dryness, pigmentation and impurities are reduced
• Skin's regenerative capabilities are stimulated
• Lymphatic flow and cell metabolism are improved
• The skin's surface elasticity improves
• Airflow generators help improve circulation

Hämmerli says product will likely most appeal to women over 60 and sees great potential for nail salons to generate additional income with Hands On.

“We're really excited to bring Hands On to market,” said Hämmerli. “We are basically giving women a wellness spa for their hands.”
Opportunities for early-bird investors are available from $5 and up, according to the company’s campaign.
