Maybelline New York is partnering with beauty influencers, Desi Perkins (@desiperkins) and Katy DeGroot (@katy) during New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018. Desi and Katy will attend a number of events and designer shows, serving as the brand's ambassadors for NYFW. During the week, the beauty duo and real-life best friends will host the brands first-ever live Influencer Master Class at Samsung 837 in New York City, and will unveil a curated, Limited Edition Maybelline New York Makeup Kit. The Beauty Bundle, which the two collaborated by selecting their favorite Maybelline New York products with the brand, will be available exclusively at Amazon.com for $25.97 on Feb. 10. Known for their popular makeup tutorials on Instagram and YouTube, both Desi Perkins and Katy DeGroot are leaders in the social media influencer space. Both Desi and Katy have attracted the attention of makeup lovers around the world, accumulating an astounding social audience of over 11 million fans collectively. Maybelline New York will collaborate with the duo to bring their beauty skills to the main stage, where the two will host a one-hour “live” product tutorial and Master Class with E! News Host, Alicia Quarles. Not only will their influencer friends and fans experience the class in real life, but fans across the globe can tune in and watch live on Maybelline's Facebook, where the event will be streaming. Following The Master Class, Desi and Katy will host an intimate meet and greet with their fans. Samsung 837 will also feature Maybelline makeovers—along with other brand activities— for consumers in New York City throughout the day. In addition to hosting the Master Class, Desi and Katy have selected their favorite Maybelline New York products to be featured in a special Bestie Bundle kit: Master Chrome Highlighter in Molten Gold, SuperStay Matte Ink in Pioneer and the 24kNudes Palette. With these products, Desi and Katy wanted their fans to easily create a Maybelline-inspired look on-the-go, with glow! The three products will be sold in a pink pouch with a sheet of custom stickers created by Desi and Katy themselves, sold exclusively on Amazon. “We're so excited to team up with Desi and Katy, who are true leading influencers in the social media world, on our first-ever Master Class that features influencers as the stars. We love their approach to tutorial videos on their platforms–the content is inclusive and very insightful. They share our view that makeup should empower women and is all about beauty transformation,” says Amy Whang, Senior Vice President Marketing Maybelline New York. “Thrilled to be able to work with a brand like Maybelline New York, which I already love so much. I cannot wait to engage with my fans and theirs during New York Fashion Week!”, said Desi about the partnership. Katy echoes Desi's sentiments, “I so happy to be working with Maybelline on this project. I have been using Master Chrome Highlighter since its launch, so when I found out they wanted me to curate a limited edition kit I knew it had to be included!” The Master Class will take place at Samsung 837 on Feb. 10, 2018 from 1pm -2pm and will be streaming live from Maybelline New York's Facebook channel. For additional Maybelline activations at Samsung837, doors open at 10am and close at 9pm.
