Beiersdorf Patents Emulsifier-free Cosmetic

US Patent No. 9,820,919 B2; Beiersdorf has been awarded a patent that covers an emulsifier-free cosmetic or dermatological preparation that comprises one or more polyacrylic acid polymers, one or more fatty alcohols and at least one wax and/or a mixture of liquid and solid hydrocarbons having a melting range according to DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) of 5 to 75° C. The preparation has a granular structure comprising one or more crystallites having a particle size of from 5 to 500 μm on 4 mm2 area of the preparation in a layer thickness of 0.15 mm+/−0.02 mm.


The company was also awarded US Patent No. 9,820,930 B2, which covers an aqueous, surfactant-containing, cosmetic preparation that is transparent and comprises one or more associative A-MA polymers and one or more additional polymers which comprise at least one polymer selected from polysaccharides and derivatives thereof, hyaluronic acid, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, poly-quaternium-10 and polyacrylates.
