US Patent No. 9,771,544 B2; SC Johnson & Son, Inc. has patented a cleaning composition that contains at least one adhesion promoter, which comprises a compound including an alkyl residual having an alkyl chain length of 16 to 30 carbon atoms and a polyethoxy residual having 25 to 45 ethoxy groups; at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of anionic, nonionic, cationic, amphoteric, zwitterionic and combinations thereof (wherein the formula includes at least one nonionic surfactant, which can serve all or in part as anadhesion promoter); a non-polar hydrocarbon; water; and at least one solvent. The composition comprises about 15-35 weight percent ethoxylated alcohol and is a self-adhesive gel having a gel temperature of about 50-80°C.
