Inter Parfums Inc. reports that for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2016, net sales increased 13.4% to $157.6 million. Inter Parfums plans to issue results for the 2016 third quarter on or about Nov. 8, 2016.

“Both our European and US operations performed exceptionally well during the third quarter,” said Jean Madar, chairman and CEO. “For our European operations, the debut of our signature Coach women’s scent exceeded initial expectations. The global rollout, which began in July of this year, primarily in the US, is underway and will continue into 2017.”

Madar said the company’s largest brand, Montblanc, continued to excel with an 11% increase in comparable quarter sales due to the consistently strong performance of Legend and new Legend Spirit. With the successful integration of Rochas, that brand’s fragrance sales more than doubled due to demand for the Eau de Rochas and Rochas Man lines in Spain and France. Sales of Van Cleef & Arpels Collection Extraordinaire rose more than 50%. Lanvin sales were up modestly compared to the prior year third quarter, boosted by the launch of the Modern Princess line, primarily in France. Of its largest brands, only Jimmy Choo’s sales declined as last year’s third quarter included the major launch of the Illicit line; however, comparable nine month brand sales are just about the same.”
