During its 2016 Convention, Rodan + Fields and its team of independent consultants raised more than $1 million to empower students in need through the Prescription for Change (PFC) Foundation and nonprofit partner buildOn.

BuildOn's goal is to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and low expectations through service and education. Across the US, buildOn empowers urban youth to transform their neighborhoods through intensive community service  – working with senior citizens, the homeless, and younger children.

All told, more than 45,000 Rodan & Fields consultants attended its 2016 in person or virtually, making it the largest convention in the company's history.

Chairman Amnon Rodan challenged the R+F community to contribute and promised the company would match their donations up to $500,000, for a total of $1 million.

“We are a company with purpose that values giving back, and in a few short days, our community of Independent Consultants truly amazed us by contributing $523,850, surpassing our original goal and match amount of $500,000,” said Lynn Emmolo, chief brand officer for Rodan + Fields and PFC board member. “I want to thank everyone for this incredible effort that will help so many young students realize their dreams.”

“We were blown away at the generous contributions from Rodan + Fields,” said Paul Boye, chief program officer for buildOn. “To raise more than a million dollars in a few days is nothing short of extraordinary. The funds will support our service learning programs in high schools in six challenging U.S. urban areas serving 5,000 students.”
