New Technology at Nosco

First to install second HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press.

Nosco, Inc. plans to expand its industry-leading operations by doubling production capabilities for digital printed cartons. The company just announced, in conjunction with HP Indigo, the acquisition of a second HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press for folding carton production, making Nosco the first in the world to achieve this milestone. The new press will be installed and begin operation on Aug. 1 in Nosco’s Digital On_Demand Solutions Center in Bristol PA. These two machines join a fleet of six other Digital Label machines.

The HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press helps Nosco provide clients the high-level quality, color consistency, reduced lead-times, serialization and personalization the company has developed. The device is equipped with a UV/Aqueous Coater and Vision Inspection for Static and Variable Copy. While Nosco has served the healthcare packaging market for many years with conventional printing technologies, the company credits the device with attracting new customers in Healthcare and other markets.

This increased demand from new customers and new markets encouraged the company to invest in a second Digital Press for folding cartons. Russ Haraf, president of Nosco, says “This investment will shorten lead times, while expanding capacity to offer customized, short to medium run order quantities and will support the growing need for serialized and personalized packaging. Our long-term partnership with HP has been critical to our ability to bring digital print innovation to the marketplace.”

In addition to a second HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press, Nosco will also be adding Die Cutting and Folder/Gluer equipment to support a full carton production line.
