Cosmetech Laboratories Celebrates 50th Anniversary

For Cosmetech Laboratories, Inc., 2024 marks milestone year: its 50th anniversary.

Founded in 1974 by David Garlen, Cosmetech Laboratories is celebrating 50 years as a full-service R&D laboratory serving the needs of the personal care, cosmetic and topical pharmaceutical industries.

During its 50 years, Cosmetech has worked with most of the major cosmetic and personal care companies as well as start-ups and mid-size companies. The company’s decades of expertise in the custom development of topical  innovative formulations has resulted in the introduction into the market place  of many successful personal care and OTC drug products ( i.e. sunscreens, acne treatments, skin protectants and  complete skin care product lines).
Cosmetech, based in Fairfield, NJ, also serves the needs of ingredient suppliers by assisting in developing the application and market positioning support needed for their new ingredients.

Cosmetech’s non-laboratory consulting services include assistance in resolving formulation issues, product stability issues and  ingredient recommendations even for formulations that it has not developed.
