With winter and vacation season among us, K18 has released a new conditioner aimed at protecting hair from environmental damage – like harsh wind and UV rays – to keep hair looking healthy and shiny in whatever climate consumers wish to spend this holiday 2023.

Made with a fortifying ceramide blend to seal damaged sites on the hair cuticle for smoothing and protection from future damage, biotech-produced polysaccharide acts as a biomimetic shield to protection hair from environmental aggressors like UV rays. What’s more, K18 peptide replenishes protein lost during washing to fortify hair health while Vitamin E works against oxidative damage – the culprit that causes color fade and breakage.

Biotech and vegan-produced polysaccharide is inspired by microorganisms in French Polynesia, which create a natural shield to protect against the harsh environment. The biomimetic barrier weightlessly protects hair against pollution and environmental aggressors.

Consumer Demand

Per the makers, K18’s new Damage Shield Conditioner was inspired out of consumer desire for an option for days they were not using the best-selling K18 mask and want to wash their hair. The conditioner is clinically proven to provide conditioning protection against damage from UV rays, mechanical styling and environmental aggressors, for up to three days.

The formula is free from film-forming silicones and waxes to help maintain hair health and improve smoothness and shine.

K18’s Damage Shield Protective Conditioner retails for $36 at Sephora.

This past month, K18 was named a top 25 indie brand to watch per NielsenIQ and Kline Group. Today, it was announced that it will be acquired by HAPPI Top 50 Company Unilever.
