Target Recalls 2.2 Million Threshold Candles

The candle, sold exclusively at Target, comes in a glass jar that can crack or break during use, posing laceration and burn hazards.

Target has recalled 2.2 million Threshold Candles that can crack or break during use, posing laceration and burn hazards, according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.
 
The candle— contained in a glass jar and sold exclusively at Target – was recalled on Aug. 10.
 
The retailer received 19 reports of the candle jar breaking or cracking during use, which resulted in one minor injury at post time.
 
Consumers are encouraged to immediately stop using the recalled candles and return them to any Target store for a full refund or contact Target to receive a prepaid return label to return the candles by mail.
 
The three- and single-wick candle, which came scent profile included spiced gingerbread cookie, strawberry and hibiscus and frosted vanilla cupcake, were sold exclusively at Target from February 2020 to July 2023 and retailed for $3 to $12 and were manufactured in Vietnam.
