Supergoop! Seeks Global Expansion

The 18-year-old suncare brand is eyeing retail opportunities in the UK, Europe and Middle East with Sephora and Space NK.

The future is looking bright for SPF brand Supergoop!

In 2022, the brand reached $250 million in sales. Now, brand officials are eyeing expansion in the UK, Europe and Middle East with Space NK and Sephora.

Supergoop! has been in the UK market since the turn of the Covid-19 pandemic. Fast-forward three years, the brand launched in Sephora throughout Europe this past March – that move that reportedly exceeded brand expectations.

New Investors

As Happi previously reported, Supergoop! and investment firm Blackstone announced new investors last spring. The new group hails from the realms of business, media and entertainmen: Hugh Jackman, Jenna Lyons and Michelle Wie; female entrepreneurs from within Blackstone’s portfolio, including Sara Blakely (founder of Spanx) and Whitney Wolfe Herd (founder and CEO of Bumble) among others; and Main Street Advisors and the I Promise School, as well as G9 Ventures, founded by Amy Griffin, and SC Holdings.

This new partnership follows the majority investment in Supergoop! by funds managed by Blackstone Growth (BXG) in late 2021. The new investment round established a collaboration with the LeBron James Family Foundation's I Promise School to provide both educational materials as well as products.
