In celebration of Earth Month, Herbal Essences has partnered with TechnoServe and the Sustainable Guar Initiative to introduce its program, “Plant. Grow. Nourish.”

The month-long program, running at select retailers, will help support farming families who cultivate and supply guar, a high-quality natural ingredient used in a variety of P&G’s Hair Care products.

During the program, every Herbal Essences Sulfate-Free Bio:Renew bottle sold at participating retailers will provide one meal of organic vegetables to a guar farmer and their family in the area of Rajasthan, India, by supporting them to establish organic kitchen gardens. Donations from the program provide farmers with seeds, equipment and training on topics such as nutrition and gardening best practices.

Herbal Essences, whose parent company is P&G, a Happi Top 50 Company, is committed to real ingredients, inclusively designed products and partnerships with experts and organizations that protect and preserve the planet for all nature lovers including Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, TerraCycle, and being PETA cruelty free.

Participating retailers include Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Kroger, Mejier and Family Dollar throughout the month of April, and Rite Aid between April 15 – May 15.
