Lubriderm, the skincare brand developed by dermatologists, is launching a dedicated scholarship program in partnership with the National Hispanic Health Foundation

Through the Skin Scholarship Program, 10 US Hispanic (USH) and non-US Hispanic full-time medical students and residents working towards a career in dermatology with an interest in serving the Hispanic community will be awarded $150,000.

The goal of the scholarship program is to increase USH representation and accessibility within the field. Recent research has shown a mere 5% of US dermatologists identify as Hispanic. A recent survey conducted by Lubriderm discovered that more than a quarter of USH consumers have never visited a dermatologist. Based on these research and findings, Lubriderm aims to close the racial representation gap among providers and patients, and ensure that those within underrepresented communities have the financial support to both pursue a medical career and have access to a dermatologist.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the scholarship, dermatology residents and physician-associate dermatology students must be enrolled full-time in a US-based accredited dermatology program in the 2022-‘23 academic year and exemplify exceptional academic performance, strong leadership skills, and have a commitment to a career providing healthcare services to the Hispanic community in the US.
