2023 Global Nail Color Trends: Perfect Corp

Perfect Corp has released the newest Global Beauty Trends Report, providing brands with a guide to the top nail color shades of 2023 and evolving nail color trends across the retail landscape.  
 
The report analyzed big data sourced from Perfect Corp.’s YouCam Nails app, the consumer-facing app featuring thousands of AR-powered filters that allows users to virtually try-on nail color and nail art effects in real time. The report focuses on user data sourced from top global markets including the US, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, China, Japan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman. 
 
There are more than 7 million virtual nail color try-ons in the YouCam Nails app per year, according to Perfect Corp.  
 
According to Perfect Corp. report, neutral nail colors are the most popular and most-frequently tried-on shades, globally, with black polish the most frequently tried-on neutral shade. Light neutral tones, including pearl white and sand shades were also among the most popular nail color shades globally.  
 
Bold red shades such as cherry, crimson and sparkle red also emerged as a major trend. High shine, metallic and chrome tones such as metallic rose gold, foil gold, and foil silver were among the top 10 most popular shades tried-on by app users globally, according to the AI/AR expert.  
 
Cream nail polish was the top tried-on texture across all global markets, followed by jelly, matte, and sheer nail color formulas.
