The 35th Congress of the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) is set for September 15-18, 2025 in Cannes. The Congress theme is “Future Is Science.” Presentations focus on three key topics: Skin and hair health and well-being, Holistic sciences, and Diversity and personalization.
The Congress is organized by the Société Française de Cosmétologie under the presidency of Dr. Christine Lafforgue. Hosted at the Palais des Festivals, the Congress is supported by major companies in the international cosmetics industry.
The Congress is expected to welcome over 1,000 participants. Attendees get the opportunity to attend 68 selected conferences and explore 650 posters presented by international experts. Almost 1,200 submissions were received, 55% from Asia, 32% from Europe and 13% from Americas.
Out-of-the-Box morning sessions by Paul Matt, Gilles Bœuf and Luc Julia, will inspire unconventional thinking and explore the unexpected as a source of creativity for cosmetology. Prof. Thierry Passeron, Prof. David Sander, Prof. Marc-André Selosse, Prof. Jin Qu, Prof. Nina Jablonski and Dr Anke Hadasch will each introduce one of the scientific half-days of the congress.
On September 15, a workshops’ day led by specialists will precede the three official days of the Congress. Each session will provide participants with cutting-edge insights to enhance their work. Places are limited. A dedicated area will host some thirty exhibitors showcasing their services and technologies.
The Congress is the annual opportunity to bring together the IFSCC’s worldwide network of 51 Societies from 81 countries. On the occasion of this 35th Congress, and with the support of L’Oréal Recherche & Innovation, the SFC will present the 3rd edition of the “Sustainability Challenge.
