Alberto-Culver Extends $300 Million Revolving Credit Agreement

The Alberto-Culver Company, Melrose Park, IL, announced today that it had amended its $300million revolving credit agreement with a group of six banks on Aug. 31 and had extended the facilityfor five years. The announcement was made by William J. Cernugel, senior vice president and chieffinancial officer of Alberto-Culver.

Mr. Cernugel said the amended revolving credit agreement, which replaced the prior three-year, $300million facility, will be used for general corporate purposes, including possible acquisitions. However,the company has no plans to draw on the facility in the immediate future. The $300 million amendedfacility can be drawn in U.S. dollars or in certain foreign currencies.
