Singer Alexa Ray Joel has been tapped as the new face of Prell shampoo, according to a report in The New York Post.

Prell is currently owned by Ultimark Products. The King of Prussia, PA-based firm acquired the brand, as well as Denorex and Zincon Dandruff shampoos, from Prestige Brands late last year in a deal valued at $9 million.

Joel—the 24 year old daughter of singer Billy Joel and supermodel Christie Brinkley—will appear in TV and print ads, due out this Spring and Summer.

Brinkley is likely to offer some motherly advice: she was a Prell model back in the late 1980s, when the brand was owned by P&G.
