The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of about 615,195 tea light sets—about 7.48 million candles. The importer was Pacific Trade International Inc. of Rockville, MD.

The candles have a clear, plastic cup that can melt or ignite, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers. Pacific Trade has received one report of the plastic cup melting while in use. No injuries or property damage have been reported.

The recall involves tea lights sold under the brand names Chesapeake Bay Candle and Modern Light. The candles are various colors. They were sold in sets or with tea light containers. Tea lights from the below sets are involved with this recall. Only tea lights that do not have any lettering imprinted on the bottom of the tea light cup are included in this recall.

The products were manufactured in Vietnam.
