Alpaflor ABI Complex AO is available from Centerchem (Booth No. 1132). The material contains a range of natural ingredients including chlorogenic acid (for its antioxidant and radical scavenging properties), phenylethanoids (antibacterial, wounding healing, antioxidant), flavonoids (anti-inflammatory, wound healing, antioxidant and antimicrobial), tannins (antiseptic, astringent and anti-inflammatory) and iridoids (antibacterial and wound healing). The efficiacy of buddleja (Buddleja davidii) contained in Alpaflor ABI Complex AO was shown in vitro to protect skin and scalp from UV damages and has DNA-protecting properties, according to the company. The complex also contains Masterwort extract, which has been shown in vitro to have wound-healing and re-epithelialization properties. Finally, 1ml of Alpaflor ABI Complex AO is said to have the same antioxidative efficacy of 8mg vitamin C, according to results of in vitro studies. It has applications in aftershave balms or lotions to sooth and repair irritated skin; sun care or after-sun products to protect and repair skin; day and night care products to protect and restore mature skin and cleansing and purifying preparations to calm and protect skin.
