Americans Cannot Live Without Toothbrushes

The toothbrush is one of those items Americans said they cannot do without, according to a survey by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Lemeson-MIT Intervention index. Forty-two percent of adults and 34% of teens said the toothbrush was their top preference, beating out cars, cell phones and microwaves. MIT executives said this was the first year a low-tech option was put on the survey
