Azelis Achieves COSMOS Certification for UK Organic Specialities

Azelis has achieved COSMOS certification for the Organic Specialities business located in the UK.

The certification is an ingredients license that replaces the existing Soil Association accreditation. COSMOS is important for Azelis since it allows products to be marketed in regions where the previous accreditation is not accepted as an organic certification, said the company. With this, Azelis can open up new markets and growing sales for the Organic Specialities range.

COSMOS is linking up the various regional organic certification bodies, such as Soil Association and ECOCERT, removing the requirement for multiple certification costs and site inspections. It will be maintained by ongoing assessment and a physical site inspection every year to ensure continued compliance with these standards.
